1. Cut out multiple plywood circles and glue them together into a tall cylinder. 2. Wrap your sanding paper around the cylinder and mark the edges flush with the top of the cylinder. 3. Cut the sand paper to size. 4. Glue the sandpaper to the cylinder using wood glue. Make sure the paper fits tight with no overlapping. 5. After the glue sets, use 2-part epoxy or JB Weld to glue the steel rod into the sanding drum (wait for the glue to cure fully! 24h or more). 6. On a piece of wood, mark out and drill the holes for the rod and bearings. Make sure the holes are alligned PERFECTLY (the use of a drill press is recommended). 7. Press the bearings into the corresponding bearing holes. If using a hammer, try hitting only the outer bearing races so you don't damage the bearings. 8. Insert the sanding drum into the bearing guides and attach the hand drill chuck on the other side. 9. Use on the edges you want to sand while holding down the jig tightly. Use high RPM and low pressure when sanding.
