1. Cut all pieces to length. 2. Drill 11mm hole through the right vertical piece. 3. Hammer a m6 nut into the hole. 4. Loctite the thumb nut to a 80mm threaded rod. 5. Screw the rod into the right vertical piece. 6. Slide on an m6 washer on the inner side of the rod and loctite another m6 nut on the end of the rod. 7. On the middle vertical piece, drill a shallow 14-15mm hole for a washer to sit in. Then in the same hole drill a 10mm deep 12mm diameter hole for the end of the rod to sit in. Lastly, on each side, drill 2 small pilot holes for the locking screws. 8. Insert another m6 washer in the bottom of the hole and insert the whole rod assembly in the hole and lock it in place using two Philips flathead screws. 9. Position all pieces in place and using screws fasten the middle vertical piece to the middle bottom sliding piece. Then fasten the left and right vertical piece to the side bottom pieces. You can use superglue to position all pieces in place before fastening for easier positioning. The middle bottom piece should slide freely but not loosely. 10. When using the vise, do not overtighten, as that can cause the threads to strip.
